radio Dabanga :
On Saturday the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement, the UN,
African Union and Arab league met in Nairobi to sign an agreement to
deliver aid to the states of South Kordofan and Blue Nile.
The document aims to deliver aid directly to the regions without
conditions or obstacles, and aims to begin relief operations within two
weeks of it being signed.
It asks for the World Food Programme to provide logistics for the operation and connect the two regions without obstacles.
The SPLM considered the agreement an important step to save victims of war in both regions.
Hashim Orta, SPLM-N official of humanitarian affairs called for the
speedy delivery of aid to the regions, and protection of refugees in
camps.
He said the document signed by the three parties will be handed to the Sudanese government to determine the final agreement.
