South Sudan Vice President will address South Sudanese Diaspora on Saturday at Minnesota State University Mankato-USA
 
The Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan Dr. Riek Machar, will address South Sudanese at Minnesota State University Mankato, on Saturday 3rd of March 2012. Dr. Machar is in the United States for quick medical checkups. His speech will focused on issues currently affecting people's lives in the country.

The event which has invited South Sudanese Students from other Midwestern Universities and South Sudanese in general was organized in retrospect by South Sudan Students at Minnesota State University Mankato. As the coming of the Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan to the State of Minnesota coincided with the youth's event, South Sudan Student Association of Minnesota State University Mankato (SSSA) ceased the opportunity to invite the Vice President through the SPLM Secretariats (USA) and the SPLM Chapter in Minnesota.
 
It will be an all-day event in which 14 teams of basketball of South Sudanese Youth from Nebraska, Kansas and Minnesota will compete for a trophy during the first half of the event. The Vice President will give the speech during the celebration of South Sudan cultural heritage at the second half of the event.
 
After long struggles for independence, Republic of South Sudan is in a critical time as it strives to bring peace and restore rules of law. The Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan Dr. Riek Machar will highlights the process of the launching of the simultaneous disarmament that will kicked-off on the 1st of March 2012 in Jonglei state. Furthermore, he will shed light on the government's decision that shot down the Oil Pipeline. Finally, Dr. Machar will conclude his address of diaspora by elaborating on how individuals experts with college educations and beyond in North America can participate in the nation's building. The Vice President will entertained few questions after the speech.
